Handling of Traffic Accident Victims Needs to Be Improved

Raharja SERVICES together Police Traffic Corps held Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activities in the Fourth Quarter (TW IV) 2024 Law Enforcement Sector at the Riau Islands Regional Police. This activity aims to strengthen the synergy between the two institutions in law enforcement efforts and services to the community, especially regarding improving the handling of victims traffic accident (then).


Jasa Raharja Operational Director Dewi Aryani Suzana said that the TW IV Monitoring and Evaluation activities were aimed at strengthening coordination and collaboration between Jasa Raharja and Korlantas Polri.

“This activity is a forum for deepening mutual understanding of the duties and functions of each institution, as well as for identifying challenges faced in law enforcement and services to the community,” explained Dewi, in her statement, Wednesday (11/11).

Dewi emphasized the importance of synergy between Jasa Raharja and Korlantas Polri to provide the best service, especially in handling traffic accidents.

“Solid cooperation has shown positive results, such as reducing the number of traffic accidents and increasing responsiveness in handling accident victim,” he added.

Dewi said that until November 2024, Jasa Raharja recorded a decrease in nominal compensation of 1.37% compared to the same period in the previous year. Apart from that, the number of accident victims receiving compensation also decreased by 4.19% or the equivalent of 6,822 victims. This, he said, reflects the effectiveness of collaboration in improving road safety.

This monitoring and evaluation activity includes discussions and presentations related to law enforcement, analysis of traffic accident data, as well as preventive and educational efforts to improve road safety. Apart from that, improvements to services to the community were also discussed, including optimizing the distribution of compensation to accident victims.

“Hopefully the results of the TW IV Monitoring and Evaluation can be implemented effectively in the field so as to improve security, safety, order and smooth traffic,” concluded Dewi.

After the Monitoring and Evaluation activities, Jasa Raharja Operational Director Dewi Aryani Suzana and Dirgakkum Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Raden Slamet Santoso gave a direct briefing at the Jasa Raharja Riau Islands Branch Office. The briefing aims to strengthen technical coordination between Jasa Raharja and Korlantas ranks in the region, as a further step in implementing the evaluation results in the field. (Faj/M-3)
