WAGE BOARD Majalengka Regency will immediately hold a plenary session to determine an increase in the district’s minimum wage in 2025 of 6.5% of the 2024 UMK.
Head of the Majalengka Department of Employment, Cooperatives and SMEs (DK2UKM) who is also Chair of the Wage Council, Arif Daryana, explained that according to Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 16 of 2024 concerning the determination of the 2025 minimum wage, the increase is set at 6.5%.
If you refer to this regulation, the 2025 UMK amount in Majalengka Regency will increase to IDR 2,404,632 or an increase from the previous year which reached IDR 2,257,871.
“We plan to hold a pre-plenary session to determine the 2025 UMK on Thursday,” said Arif, Wednesday (11/12).
Meanwhile, the plenary meeting to determine the amount of the 2025 UMK increase was held on Friday (12/12).
His party, he continued, is targeting a proposal to increase Majalengka’s UMK and UMSK in 2025 to have been submitted to the West Java Provincial Government at the end of this week. “Because the application deadline is early next week,” he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the Regency sectoral minimum wage or UMSK 2025, the value must be higher than the 2025 UMK. The criteria for workers who are entitled to UMSK are that they have different characteristics and risks compared to other sectors.
Apart from that, the job demands are heavier or require special specialization in accordance with Minister of Manpower Regulation number 16 of 2024.
