The Indonesian General Election COMMISSION (KPU) announced that as of Thursday (12/12) at 19:00 WIB, the recapitulation of the results of the gradual counting and announcement of the provincial level recapitulation for the election of governor and deputy governor had reached 91.8%.
“Of the total 37 provinces, 34 provinces or 91.8% have completed the recapitulation and announcements,” said the Chairman RI KPU Mochammad Afifuddin in a press conference at the Indonesian KPU Office, Jakarta, Friday (13/12).
For the recapitulation at the district/city level for the election of governor and deputy governor, he said, as many as 500 districts/cities had completed the recapitulation and announced the results.
“So, there are only eight (regencies/cities) left, but some have been completed, 98.23%,” he said.
Then at the sub-district level, he said, as many as 7,107 out of a total of 7,199 sub-districts or 98.72% had completed the recapitulation of the governor and deputy governor elections.
Meanwhile, Afifuddin explained that as many as 499 of the 508 districts/cities had completed the recapitulation and announced the results of the election for regents and deputy regents as well as the election for mayor and deputy mayor.
“Furthermore, the election of regents and deputy regents (and mayors and deputy mayors, ed.) at the sub-district level by the PPK (District Election Committee), from a total of 7,233 sub-districts, of which 7,127 sub-districts, or 98.53%, have completed the recap, ” he concluded. (Ant/I-2)
