POLICE welcome anyone who is a victim of beauty clinic practices Ria Beauty report or make a complaint to the police. A complaint post has been opened at Unit 1 Sub-Directorate for Youth, Children and Women (Renakta) of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate Polda Metro Jaya.
Head of the Sub-Directorate for Renakta Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Syarifah Chaira Sukma, explained that people who are victims and want to report their cases to the Police are required to bring a number of pieces of evidence.
“So those who feel like they are victims must bring some equipment, such as evidence bookingthen maybe have photos, along with the costs that have been incurred when doing it treatment or treatment,” he said.
However, Syarifa explained that the complaint post which had been open two days ago had not seen any people report being victims of the Ria Beauty clinic.
“So there are many people who feel like they have become victims through social media alone. So many people say, ‘I am also a victim’, and also from friends, ‘oh yes, many of my friends are victims’, but this is official. “No one wants to report it yet,” he said.
The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya uncovered a case of illegal beauty therapy practice in South Jakarta with the method of removing pockmarks on the face.
“The suspects with the initials RA and DNJ deliberately opened a service that can remove pockmarks on the face by rubbing it with a GTS Roller tool, where the suspect claims to have valid competence, supported by the training certificate he has,” said the Director of Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner. Wira Satya Triputra at a press conference in Jakarta, Friday (6/12).
Wira explained that the suspects were arrested on December 1 2024 at around 16.00 WIB by members of Unit 1 of the Renakta Sub-Directorate, Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya in Room 2028 of the Somerset Grand Citra Hotel, Jakarta at Ciputra World Jakarta, Jalan Prof. DR. Satrio Number 1 RT 005 RW 002, East Kuningan, Setiabudi District, South Jakarta City.
Both were charged with Article 435 Jo. article 138 paragraph (2) and/or paragraph (3) and/or article 439 Jo. article 441 paragraph (2) Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health.
“Sentenced with a maximum imprisonment of 12 years or a maximum fine of IDR 5 billion,” said Wira. (Ant/P-5)
