In a televised address discussing the latest developments, Imam Khamenei said, “There is no doubt that what is happening in Syria is the result of a joint American and Zionist plan.”

“Stupid analysts who don’t know the meaning of resistance believe that if resistance weakens, Islamic Iran will also weaken. I told him, with God’s help, Iran is strong and capable and will become even stronger,” said Khamenei.
“I tell you, with the help of God Almighty, the area of resistance will expand to cover the entire region,” he added.
Khamenei alluded to divisions among militant groups in Syria. He said, each group has its own agenda and all try to defend their own territory.
Ultimately, Khamenei said, they will be driven out of Syria by, “passionate young Syrians. Likewise Americans who are trying to strengthen their foothold in the country.”
